Each evening, after dark

Good news! Very positive response from the group about my branding for Venture Culture. People loved the name, and loved the logo to accompany it. However, the tagline sucked and I am not happy with the colouring of it. Now that I look back at it, everything seemed a bit facebookish (did I just invent a word?). That is the kind of impact a social network can have upon your creativity, shocking.

After throwing about a million different iterations of my tagline, developing synonyms for each word to create a unique and catchy phrase, I am kind of torn between two taglines. Not completely happy with either taglines, but they are a great improvement on the previous “Student events and promotions in Plymouth”. It seemed a bit bland and regular, and after researching on business leaders they have very quirky and memorable taglines.

So as you can see, I am torn by “guide of your eventide”, with eventide being the old definition for evening or night; a word which has maybe been forgotten. Also acts as almost a beacon, which guides you through your night out showing you where to go.

The other tagline is “bring out your nocturnal side”, which gives off the impression that you should go outside at night, with a possibly different behaviour to normal.

Now that I think about it, I could blend the two and make “guide your nocturnal side”, which is quite catchy… some work still needs to be done here! Leave me a comment below and tell me what you think.

Originally I was using a more pink-purple-ish colour for the background, but it felt more oriented towards girls and I ideally want to make this App as gender neutral as possible (It’s already slightly hinting towards girls with the cocktail glass).
