EX-PLAY ’11

I wasn’t originally going to blog about Extended Play 2011, but circumstances changed and I have more to write about! Come tuesday last week, the course leader called me up and asked me if I was interested in demonstrating the RFIDHTER project for the DAT course and to give a student prescence at the show. This really excited me, and then me and the team spent the next few days cleaning up the game in preparation for the event! The controllers got re-jigged around and built sturdier; not to mention we sexified them up with heatshrink tubing to make the cabling more neat and tidy. The game also got an HD revamp/makeover, to avoid embarrasment of pixelating & stretching the game up to 1080p on a 56″ LCD screen.

On the friday, which was the much busier day lots of people were interested in the concept of mixing RFID with Flash, and more people had actually heard of Passive RFID than I thought. One chap was mentioning using RFID on airport runways, the other ideas I cannot remember so much unfortunately! Even though earlier I said I have lots to write about, I’d rather just leave you with a few images and videos, where you can get a feel for the event.

Videos coming in the future, sorry!
